As far as I can tell, Paris is SO amazing. I am now embarassed to say that I had low expectations for Paris, thinking that it couldn’t possibly be that great. Oh how I was wrong. We have all risen early today, much to our dislike. We haven’t had much sleep, but it was instinctual for us to rise with the sun. For you, that is good. Now you have the pleasure of witnessing some lovely early morning Paris photos.
We arrived at our apartment near 7 PM yesterday. It is only a couple of blocks and a 5 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, which we made sure to visit with its lights. It was truly picturesque, all light up and sparkling. If there is a time to see the Eiffel Tower, it is at night.
Before our night time walk to the Eiffel, we ate a very nice dinner at a small Italian restaraunt about two or
three blocks away from the apartment. I have to say the best part was the Speculos Tiramisu dessert. Our waitress was very nice, and I was relieved that she had good English because I am failing miserably at French. While my Dad and sister can put on plausible French accents, here I am speaking in a Spanish/Portuguese accent. A day in the life of a Spanish student!
